Community Members Share Ideas with Tornado Council

Rainsville, AL - The Tornado Recovery Action Council of Alabama is asking for your help to develop a plan for Alabama's next natural disaster. Monday night in Rainsville, the council hosted the first of seven community forums where participants were asked to share their ideas on preparedness, response and recovery.

They run the spectrum of things we should do to build better, to do things in advance of the storm. We'll certainly be looking at how we warn our citizens better, says TRAC executive director, Ron Gray.

The recovery council will take ideas shared at the forums and develop what it calls actionable recommendations to present to Governor Robert Bentley. The next meeting will take place Tuesday evening at the First Baptist Community Center in Hackleburg.
