Another Physician Succumbed To Brain Cancer | Carbohydrates Can Kill

[JEV News, August 12, 2011] On August 6, 2011, Bernadine Healy, M.D., 67, died of a recurrent brain cancer. She was a Harvard-trained cardiologist and professor of medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She was the first female director of the National Institute of Health and past president of the American Heart Association. Later, she became President of the American Red Cross, but was forced to resign after a series of differences between her and the Board of Directors.

Robert Su, Pharm.B., M.D. told JEV News that he was so sorry for Dr. Healy?s untimely death. Dr. Su, author of Carbohydrates Can Kill and podcast host of the Carbohydrates Can Kill Show. He is a practitioner of ?Physician Heal Thyself.?

Dr Su said that he was always sad when he knew someone lost life to a disease or diseases, because it meant that his physician(s) had failed to understand his illness and prevent the disease or diseases from happening in the first place. He continued, ?I am particularly sad when I lost a colleague, because that means either my colleague did not follow a healthy lifestyle for preventing his illness from happening or the healthy lifestyle he had asked his patients to follow was not healthy after all. Worst of all, he lost his credibility posthumously.?

Dr. Su concluded, ?Studies have shown the relationship between glucose and cancer development. These studies include animal trials and human case reports especially on brain cancers. Recently, we reported a patient who was terminally ill with pancreatic cancer in Spring, 2010, and decided to follow an advice that he restrict carbohydrates. As far as we learned a couple of weeks ago, he is still in remission. When a physician is unfortunately terminally ill from cancer, he should be willingly to use his live for experimenting with dietary treatment such as carbohydrate restrictions. When he is saved with the diet, he helps us understand more about the relationship between carbohydrate and cancer. If Dr. Healy had done so, she might be still with us.?
